Hi Drakos, how are you?

Hey bro, doing good!

Does your name mean anything for you? Did you get any other name?

Before I wrote Drakos I had another tag, Cox.

One time I was with my friend Nerk2 in class, and he told me that I should change tag so I could do more aggressive letters and at the time I chose Draco, he liked it and I did too so I kept it!

When did you start graffiti? What thing made you start?

In high school I was the only one among my classmates that didn’t paint, so when I started they had been doing it for like a year by then. So one time I bought some cans to experiment sketching on a wall , and it was pretty shitty. I never stopped until now.

Where are you from?

Porto, Portugal.

Have you ever done a ‘’graffiti trip’’?

I once went on a summer trip with my friend Ser, to the south of Portugal.

It was super nice, I always try to prepare stickers and pens when doing a trip, so I can leave my name everywhere.

It was the hottest summer here in Portugal so I did some pretty interesting graffiti pieces!

What style are you inspired by?

I've always been inspired from those writers that keep changing their style, and finding new ways of bending letters.

I would say my direct influences were Sofles, Virus, Sicoer, Revok and Rasko .

Who is your favorite writer? Why?

My favorite writer is Sofles! I just think that anyone who understands graffiti knows that Sofles has mastered the can control and depht perception in a amazing way.

He also has so many variations of styles and pieces he can do, his works are always fresh.

Your best piece?

I Don't think I have a best piece

Have you ever had any bad experiences while you were painting?

I've been caught by the police several times. I think here in Portugal it’s based on luck , you can be caught by police who don't give a shit, or ones who'll take you to the police station and book you.

One thing I'll say, try not to paint while drunk to many times hahah!

Are you in a crew?

I have two crews: one from my friends in high school, Haters with Slim, Riof, Mi2, Gozo and some others that changed names so many times I don't even know.

The other one is my current crew, Bad Kids 7 with Bonus, Crib, Cuba, M'AX and Taco.

I think every successful mission with them is a great moment.

Your favorite markers? And can?

I can't say much about favorites , but I really enjoy AKA chisel markers for tags!

And I really enjoy NBQ low pressure cans.

What do you think of the current scene? What importance do social media have in the graffiti world?

I think the scene is strange.

Social media gave an opportunity for writers to share their works to the whole world and It's cool cause in this way I can see graffiti I would never see in real life, which is crazy because you can study a whole lot more than back in the day.

This is also bad because its social media..

You're giving the world an opportunity to judge you and graffiti has always been judged from the community, most people don't understand it so you see a lot of posts and videos that are not that great but people love it or great graffiti art that doesn’t get recognized enough.

It's a strange evolution to the game, but this being said, the game has always been to spread your name so you can adapt!

How do you feel about being known enough on social media?

I think that doesn't mean anything if you're not putting up quality content or showing that you're truly different.

You can be known but not good enough, and you can be good and not known.

I try to be both good and known!

What did the graffiti world give you?

An amazing opportunity for an art career!

Right now I'm receiving several sponsors and I can do what I love for a living!

I'm grateful to graffiti.

Are you working on new projects?

Yes!

Don't want to give too much away but i'm working on the worlds first Graffiti Style Development course!

I've seen enough on the internet to know that there's no way to learn exactly what will help you create a style of your own so i'm putting a lot of effort into this! Stay tuned!

What is your goal? And your dream?

My Goal is to be among the best graffiti writers in the world! Hopefully one day!
